ABOUT US

The Club of Lithuanian Students from Abroad (ULSK) is an organization that unites young people of Lithuanian origin who come to study at higher education institutions in Lithuania. It was founded in 2006 by students of Lithuanian origin abroad at the Support Center for Lithuanians from Abroad. It currently operates at the Education Center for Lithuanians from Abroad.
Goal
To create an active community for Lithuanians from around the world who have returned to study in Lithuania.

We organize cultural, social, and educational events and trips.

Activities
Through introductory and educational projects, the Club of Lithuanian Students from Abroad nurtures Lithuania’s national values. It helps young people of Lithuanian origin who connect their lives and studies with Lithuania to adapt to the local community, and encourages civic engagement, active participation and the desire to contribute to Lithuania’s well-being.
The Club of Lithuanian Students from Abroad organizes trips to historically significant sites important to Lithuania, holds Lithuanian film evenings, volleyball practices, commemorates important historical dates (patriotic ones such as January 13, February 16, March 11), and actively meets and cooperates with Lithuanian youth organizations abroad and Lithuanian communities overseas.
The Club of Lithuanian Students from Abroad is funded by the Ministry of Education and Science.
Members
Any student of Lithuanian origin studying at universities or colleges in Lithuania can become a member of the Club of Lithuanian Students from Abroad. Throughout all the years of ULSK’s activity, students from 15 different countries have participated in the club’s activities (Belarus, Brazil, Estonia, Georgia, USA, Spain, Israel, Canada, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Poland, Moldova, Russia, Ukraine, Sweden, Germany).
